The 6th Annual Golf Tournament for Respite Care Ministries will be held March 22, 2010 on Seabrook Island. Money raised during the tournament will be used to offset the costs of providing care and support to families affected by Alzheimer's disease or a related form of dementia.

Tournament sponsorships are available from $100 to $2000 but any size donation is welcome and appreciated. Golfers may register as a team or as individuals. Sponsorships of $300 and above include entry fee for golfers.

Respite Care Ministries is a non-profit organization that offers programs to enhance the quality of life for people suffering from memory-related diseases. The daily programs benefit participants by working to improve their lives through activities, music participation, and social interaction. These vital programs give caregivers a much-needed break and provide a support network for families. Respite Care Ministries is supported by donations, memorials, grants, volunteers, and fund raising events. Proceeds from the golf tournament represent approximately 25% of the necessary funds to be raised each year.

Respite Care Ministries is a 501(c)3 organization with program locations at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Charleston; All Saints Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant; Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, Johns Island; and Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, West Ashley.
