NATIONWIDE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP AT DANIEL
ISLAND
ANNOUNCES RETURN OF TICKETS FORE
CHARITY™ PROGRAM
Local Charities to
Receive 100% of Ticket Sale Proceeds
Charleston,
South Carolina – The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island announces
the return of the successful TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ ticket sales fundraising
program, which provides an opportunity for non-profit 501c3 organizations to
sell tickets to this major event and keep 100% of the proceeds. The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island, offering a $1 million purse
as it concludes season-long competition to identify the 25 players who earn PGA
TOUR cards for the following season based on the Tour’s final money list, is
scheduled October 25 - 31, 2010, at the Daniel Island Club in Charleston, SC.
All
501c3 non-profit organizations are invited to learn more about the program and
register to participate. Interested charitable organizations can RSVP to Margaret Shaw by
phone at (843) 849-3154 or via e-mail to Margaret.Shaw@familycirclecup.com.
All charities are required to provide 501c3 documentation at the time of
registering, anytime between May 27 and the beginning of tournament play on
Thursday, October 28, 2010. The Daniel Island Club is located at 600
Island Park Drive, Daniel Island, Charleston, SC 29492.
“We’re
very excited to build upon the relationships we established in the inaugural
program. We’re streamlining the process this year in several ways,
including the launch of a new web site next week, which will make it even
easier for charities to generate sales and raise more money,” commented
Margaret Shaw, Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island Ticket Manager.
“This program is designed for success. There aren’t many opportunities
for charities to receive 100% of the revenue they generate, so this can become
a significant fundraising vehicle for both small and large organizations
alike.”
The Nationwide
Tour Championship at Daniel Island TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ initiative was closely
modeled after the highly successful Albertson’s Boise Open TICKETS Fore
CHARITY™ program that originated in 2001 and has risen over $3 million for
Boise charities throughout their 2009 event.
Nationwide
Tour Championship at Daniel Island tickets can be purchased as a weekly pass
for $30, at a weekly group rate for 10 people for $200, and daily tickets will
be available for $10 at the venue during the tournament. Weekly passes
will be available beginning June 1st via charities participating in
the TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program, on NationwideTourChampionship.com, and at
the Family Circle Tennis Center ticket office, located at 161 Seven Farms
Drive, Daniel Island, SC 29492, from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through
Friday. A complete list of Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island
