Local Charities to Receive 100% of Ticket Sale Proceeds

Charleston, South Carolina – The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island announces the implementation of the TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ ticket sales fundraising program, which provides an opportunity for non-profit 501c3 organizations to sell tickets to this major event and keep 100% of the proceeds.  Charities interested in participating are invited attend an introductory TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ presentation to be held at the Daniel Island Club on Thursday, May 28^th.  The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island, offering a $1 million purse as it concludes season-long competition to identify the 25 players who earn PGA TOUR cards for the following season based on the Tour’s final money list, is scheduled October 22 - 25, 2009, at the Daniel Island Club in Charleston, SC.

All 501c3 non-profit organizations are invited to learn more about the program and register to participate by attending an introductory TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ presentation at the Daniel Island Club from 5:30-7:00pm, on Thursday, May 28th.  Interested charitable organizations can RSVP to Margaret Shaw at (843) 849-3154 or via e-mail to Margaret.Shaw@familycirclecup.com.  Charities are required to provide 501c3 documentation, and will be able to register at the presentation, and anytime between May 28 and the beginning of the tournament on Thursday, October 22^nd, 2009.  The Daniel Island Club is located at 600 Island Park Drive, Daniel Island, Charleston, SC 29492.

The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ initiative was closely modeled after the highly successful Albertson’s Boise Open TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program that originated in 2001 and has risen over $2.4 million for Boise charities throughout their 2008 event.

Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island tickets can be purchased as a weekly pass for $30, at a weekly group rate for 10 people for $200, and daily tickets will be available for $10 at the venue during the tournament.  Weekly passes will be available beginning June 1^st via charities participating in the TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program, on NationwideTourChampionship.com, and at the Family Circle Tennis Center ticket office, located at 161 Seven Farms Drive, Daniel Island, SC 29492, from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.  A complete list of Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ participating charities can be found on NationwideTourChampionship.com.
